In this loop
Holding the tri-bush wall for the sightline; Taric closes in first to test whether the read breaks
Taliyah's Q lands, the poke that keeps Samira zoned but still safe under turret
Both fall back toward the wave, ceding the space they just fought for
Samira's Q lands on the return, the exact window that flips the read to offense
Q into Taliyah closes most of the gap, but not enough for an immediate auto
Ignite goes down for the Nimbus Cloak move speed as much as the burn, closing the rest of the distance to finish Taliyah for first blood while staying between Samira/Taric and the turret

Ignite was thrown for the burn. The move speed did the rest.
The reads
Level 1 and the tri-bush wall is worth sitting in for the sightline alone: it forces Taric to be the one who commits to a read, not me. He closes in to test it, and two seconds later Taliyah’s Q comes in behind him, real poke, but it lands short enough that Samira stays zoned rather than actually threatened, still safe under turret. A couple seconds later both of them peel back toward the wave, giving up the ground they just spent pressure to take. That’s the tell. Samira’s Q lands on the return almost immediately, and the kill window is obvious the second it does. Q into Taliyah closes most of the distance, but not all of it, not enough for a clean auto before she can react. Ignite goes down anyway, thrown as much for Nimbus Cloak’s move speed as for the burn, and that extra speed is exactly the range I’m short. Enough to close it and take first blood at seven seconds, still positioned between Samira/Taric and the safety of my own turret rather than overextending for the kill.
