In this loop
I am standing in the lane wave disguised as a minion, with BornInTheLab at the far left of it and Kiddo hanging back on the right
A long purple line cuts down through the wave from the top of the screen while I stay put
My E goes out toward BornInTheLab, who is still standing at the left edge of the wave
A bright burst goes off around him and the minions beside him
BornInTheLab is tagged ROOTED, and he stays pinned there to the end of the clip while the minion fight carries on

They half expected the minion, and the E landed anyway.
I held my spot in the wave as a minion and let the lane happen around me, in a bot lane against Kog’Maw and Morgana. BornInTheLab had a fair idea a Neeko might be standing in the wave, which is the usual price of the disguise, but a guess that you might be hiding is not the same as picking out which minion it is. Patience was the whole play: I waited until he was standing where the E would reach, then sent it from inside the wave and he was rooted before he could do anything about it.
